My current layout features my favorite band: Joy Division. It's actually a redux of a user layout I used to have on neopets.com. I liked it so much that I decided to fiddle around with it and came up with something way better than the original. Also, if you haven't heard of Joy Division before, I'd highly recommend taking the time to check 'em out.
There's not a whole lot of substance to the origin of my domain name, I just thought it sounded neat and I liked the play on words (fangled.nu --> newfangled).
As far as my design history goes, I've been an amateur web/graphic designer on and off for 10 years now. I initially started out on geocities when I was 11-years-old; naturally my website was pretty awful and not practical. However, it was a lot of fun and I became better with practice. At around 13-years-old I ended up buying my first domain: intrepidation.net. I maintained that domain for about a couple of years. During which time it had multiple offshoots (e.g., a review site, hosting, and cliques). Following that, I bought dazzle.nu. I ended up growing weary of the site and the trials and tribulations that accompany it; thus letting it expire. Fast forward a few years later and here I am :].
